Multiple Intelligences to Foster Children's Social and Emotional Development in St. Louis (MO) |
| |
Five day care centers from the St. Louis (MO) community put the Multiple Intelligences into practice in their classrooms for the first time. They joined the Little Talentum (LT) Pilot Program: Personal & Social Collection. “The children enjoyed and identified with the characters in the books. In addition to promoting social and emotional development, the series definitely helped with the development of language and literacy skills. Not only did children actively participate in group story times, children selected the books to read by themselves or with friends during open choice time.”--Marlene Levine, educational consultant who supervised the application of the LT Pilot Program at the day care centers in St. Louis. |
